Money is deposited in an employee's Employees Provident Fund (PF) account every month on a salary basis. Just as the employee has his or her own share, the employer also deposits money into the employee's EPF account. There are multiple ways to find out if this money is being credited to the account each month, or how much balance is now in the account. However, in addition to the Universal Account Number (UAN) of the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) designated for members, the amount of balance can be found online.
How do you see the balance?
1. First you have to open the home page of EPFO website https: //www.epfindia.gov.in.
2. When you open the page, you have to click on 'Click Here to Know your EPF Balance'.
3. After clicking, a new page (https://www.epfoservices.in/epfo) will open. Go to the 'Member Balance Information' section.
4. There you have to give your state name, EPF office, Establishment code, PF account number and other details.
5. The balance can be seen by clicking on the 'Submit' button.
Other ways to check balance:
1. EPF balance can be seen in mobile SMS. You have to send an SMS to 7738299899 from your registered mobile number. Write 'EPFOHO UAN' in the text.
2. EPF balance can also be found through missed call. If you make a missed call to 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number, the balance amount will be sent in a text message.
